Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Thursday announced the setup of an FCRA cell to address concerns over the proposed amendments, stating it would ease the process for applicants.
He added that there is no question of supporting or opposing the bill, as it has been referred to a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC). Sangma also criticized the Congress for blaming the NPP over inaction, asking Vincent Pala how many times he had raised the issue, while appreciating the UDP for meeting with the Union Home Minister.
